Other places I’ve visited worth mentioning that aren’t on the TCC list, that I think should be.

San Blas Islands and Guna/Kuna Yala Province of Panama.

The Guna Yala Province of Panama is a narrow strip of land on the east coast of Panama and includes the 365 San Blas Islands along the coast. It is an autonomous territory.

Gorno Badakshan Autonomous Oblast, Tajikistan

The GBAO region of Tajikistan makes up the eastern half of the country and is distinctly different from the rest.

Karakalpakstan

The ‘stan within a ‘stan. An autonomous republic within Uzbekistan.

Campbell Island, New Zealand

One of New Zealand’s Sub-Antarctic Islands. Known for its unusual megaherbs and abundant birdlife. I find it odd that the TCC includes Australia’s Macquarie Island on the list, but none of NZ’s Sub-Antarctic Islands…
