The capital of Sarawak.
Kuching: The Cat City.
Back in 2013 I went to Kuching, Malaysia. It was more of a jumping off point for the nearby Bako National Park and Semenggoh Wildlife Center.
There was more to Kuching than I had originally thought.
This included a visit to something that a crazy-cat lady could only dream of.
The Kuching Cat Museum.
Kuching is known as the ‘Cat city’. How could it not have a cat museum?
You can’t come to to Kuching without a stop at this kitschy kitty museum.
If you find yourself in Kuching, at least go dedicate an hour or so to check out the Cat Museum…
It has over 4,000 cat artifacts including posters, paintings, memorials, statues, mummified cats and more.
Entrance to the Cat Museum is free.
However you will be charged RM 3 for cameras, and RM 5 for video cameras.
Located in the DBKU building in Kuching.
The one that looks like a space ship.
In North Kuching, the address is: Bukit Siol, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.
