And we are back home now:
We made it back home to Alaska a little over a week ago. Only 32 hours turned more like 36 or so hours.. no biggie.
It’s not as bad as I make it sound, at least there was some nice weather the first weekend and we went and hiked Bird Ridge, with wine of course.
So as for San Francisco, we froze our asses off on our layover excursion, just like I thought we would. Grant couldn’t figure out why people had winter jackets on until we got outside… Good prep for heading back to Alaska.
I finally got to see the Golden Gate Bridge this time, oh and I tried Chipotle for the first time ever… Still would’ve rather had Taco Bell.
And then we went back to the airport where our flight proceeded to keep getting delayed later and later and later and… Fucking lovely, since I had to work the next morning, and we ended up not getting home till 3am.
I’ve been back at work, trying to formulate my next escape plan.
Escape plan Ideas:
Do I try to go to Europe to visit friends later this summer?
Do I attempt to go back to Africa this fall.
Should I finally venture down to South America or Australia?
Should I leave next year and finally do that round the world trip I’ve been dreaming of since I was about 15 years old and take a year off… and just deal with the backlash of people that don’t understand why and tell everyone to kiss my ass?
All I know for sure is that I got a wedding in Maui to attend in October for my good ol friend Sal and a Caribbean cruise tentatively planned in February with my Mom, a fishing trip with Geena down to Valdez in a couple weeks and I’m sure a number of road trips to Fairbanks to visit my baby cousins.
